Love this idea and it's on my list of things to do for SIRE this year. Who is handling the reformtting? Are you using outside Graphic Designers or are your current Gds taking up this task?
Good question, and in my next post I'll share more about that. Honestly, I've been thinking about outsourcing Webtoon conversion for a bunch of ComixTribe books for a long time... but it's actually not as easy as one might thing to do it well.
Rather than look at it as a chore to just get done, I reframed it as "Hey, this is a chance to remaster and adapt the existing comic to a new format..." and in doing so, there's no reason not to make some changes, add dialogue, move some things around, and treat it as a higher value storytelling exercise, rather than a tedious task to get done.
The other thing is that, as I'm also working on new EPIC, getting my head back into the voices of the characters and the world by revisiting the early pages, is actually very helpful. So, at this point, I'm doing the conversions myself... and having a lot of fun with it!
Yeah. I hear that. But there’s no way to do a straight conversion and have it work well on Webtoon... so I’m learning to embrace the conventions of the medium rather than be 100% tied to the print version.
I keep going back and forth on whether to utilize webtoons. On the one hand, there is a strong community there hungry for good comics. On the other hand, you've got to nail the scroll format and there are concerning things about the TOC I've heard about. I'll be interested to hear how your experience goes and what you think of it!

Makes sense - just beware the revisionist bug...it can haunt you! (Speaking from personal experience lol)

What aspects of the TOC are you concerned about?
Definitely seems like, from a genre and style standpoint, your work might be able to find a good home and readership on Webtoon, MJ.
